NEWVILLE, Pa. - Senior
Jack Sears earned all-region honors to lead the McDaniel College men's cross country team at the 2025 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Championships hosted by Dickinson on Saturday at Big Spring High School.
The Green Terror finished 21st out of 31 teams. Centennial Conference foe Johns Hopkins took home the team title with 23 points, placing seven runners in the top 10, including five in the top seven.
The Blue Jays' Kenny Wanlass won the individual crown in 25:16.80.
Sears concluded his cross country career by placing 30th with a time of 26:10.73. He is the first Green Terror to earn all-region honors in 21 years since Paul Hugus in 2004.
Sears' time was the second-fastest performance in program history on the course at Big Spring, trailing his own record of 26:08.90 he set earlier this season.
First-year
Isaac Greeson was the second to cross the line for McDaniel, finishing 156th in 30:10.40, just ahead of senior
Ethan Bush who was 157th with a time of 30:13.40.
First-year
Sam Favazza followed in 30:31.70 to place 164th while junior
Zac Kane was 184th in 31:38.87 to round out the scorers for the Green Terror.

Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama finished 199th in 32:38.99 and first-year
Ethan Reyes was 206th with a time of 34:44.18.
