GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Senior
Jack Sears became the first all-conference selection for the McDaniel College men's cross country team in 20 years at the 2025 Centennial Conference Cross Country Championships at Gettysburg Saturday.
The Green Terror finished eighth as a team while Johns Hopkins won their fourth consecutive team title. The Blue Jays' Emmanuel Leblond won his third-straight individual championship with a time of 24:13.70.
Sears finished 14th to earn All-Centennial Conference Second Team honors. He is the first McDaniel runner to earn all-conference honors since Paul Hugus in 2005.
Sears' time of 24:56.70 is the second-fastest 8K in program history and he now holds five of the top 10 marks all-time, including the top three. Saturday's championship time is second to his performance set on the same course two weeks ago in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational when he placed sixth out of 316 runners with a time of 24:55.2.
After the race, Sears presented his all-conference medal to Renald Breton, father of his late teammate and friend,Â

Sam Favazza crossed the line 93rd in 29:44.5 while juniorÂ
Zac Kane rounded out the scorers with a personal-best time of 30:14.4 for 95th.
Junior Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama placed 98th, Parker Foster finished 99th, first-year Ethan Reyes was 101st, and senior Simon Greenberg finished 102nd.
The Green Terror return to competition on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals hosted by Dickinson at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa.
