GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Senior Ryan Niederpruem picked up the lone win at No. 6 singles as the McDaniel College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Gettysburg Tuesday.
Sophomore Jake Kegley and freshman Connor Neal battled at No. 1 doubles before falling to Teo Burgess and JP Damare, 8-3.
The Bullets won in straight sets at No. 2 doubles before posting an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles to take a 3-0 lead into singles.
Gettysburg sealed the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles and a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 3 singles.
Sophomore Jake Kegley dropped a tightly contested 6-3, 7-5 match at No. 1 singles before Niederpruem posted a 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 victory over Chase Burker.
The Green Terror return to action on Wednesday as they host Hood in a non-conference contest beginning at 4 p.m.
