YORK, Pa. - Junior
Jake Kegley secured a hard-fought win at No. 1 singles as the McDaniel College men's tennis team fell on the road at York (Pa.) on Monday, 5-2.
Kegley secured the lone individual win for the Green Terror (4-12) with a victory over Jason Lutz. After dropping the first set, Kegley came back to post a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 triumph.
Kegley partnered with senior
Drew Ryder at No. 1 doubles with the pair pushing the match to a tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (7-4).
Junior
Justin Edwards pick up the team's second point with an impressive win over Blake Vandenberge at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 6-0.
Edwards and sophomore
Connor Neal teamed up at No. 3 doubles, but were edged by Vandenberg and Evan Stehman, 6-4.
After losing the first set at No. 3 singles, senior
Quinn Dietsche came back to win the second before falling in three, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
McDaniel returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Ursinus for a 4 p.m. match against the Bears.
