Senior Tyren Proctor led the McDaniel College men's indoor track & field team with a win at the Blue & White Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall.
While there were no team scores, the Green Terror competed against two other Centennial Conference schools, including Franklin & Marshall and Dickinson
Proctor won the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.34. Senior Kyle Hubbard placed 10th with a time of 9.40. Junior Alex Brown ran 9.59 for 12th and freshman Roman Arensmeyer placed 15th with a time of 9.73. Brown now sits in a tie for tenth in program history.
Junior Anders Madsen placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.42. Sophomore Jack Sears took fifth with a time of 2:00.97. Sears now sits ninth in program history. Sophomore Jack Reiser followed in sixth with a time of 2:01.36. Senior Tyler Richardson ran 2:06.20 for 21st place.
Sophomore Oral-Anthony Coleman placed second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.98. Senior Kyle Silver placed 20th with a time of 24.63. Freshman Tarik Jones placed 21st with a time of 24.64. Freshman Braylon Johnson ran 25.28 to finish 36th. Freshman Joshua Codrington and Hubbard placed 43rd (26.07) and 44th (26.09). Senior DaVaughn Joyner placed 47th with a time of 27.08.
Freshman Keiron Wilson placed third in high jump with a personal best of 1.85 meters (6-0.75). This moves him to fourth in program history. Sophomore Christian Homer placed 11th with a jump of 1.60 meters (5-3).
Keiron Wilson also placed third in triple jump with a mark of 12.93 meters (42-5.25). This moves him to ninth in program history. Homer placed fifth with a jump of 12.68 meters (41-7.25). Johnson jumped 12.20 meters (40-0.5) to place seventh.
The 4x400 team of Reiser, Freshman Jerian Batty, Freshman Kaydan Batty, and Richardson took third place with a time of 3:38.41.
Sears placed fourth in the 1 mile run in a time of 4:30.97. Senior Nick Raumann finished seventh running a time of 4:36.17.
Coleman placed fourth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.14. Jones placed 20th in a time of 7.412, Proctor followed in 7.42 to place 21st. Homer placed 26th with a time of 7.55. Hubbard placed 41st in a time of 7.83. Joyner (7.87), Codrington (7.90), and Freshman Chris Wilson (7.90) took placed 43rd, 44th, and 45th.
Senior John Geniti placed fifth in pole vault with a jump of 4.09 meters (13-5). Senior Jack McBride took 12th with a jump of 3.19 meters (10-5.5). Brown placed 14th with the same mark as McBride.
Brown placed fifth in long jump with a distance of 6.26 meters (20-6.5). Homer jumped 6.09 meters (19-11.75) for seventh place. Wilson placed 16th with a jump of 5.64 meters (18-6). Joyner (5.16m/16-11.25) and Chris Wilson (4.75m/15-7) placed 23rd and 26th.
Senior Chett Brunner placed fifth in shot put with a throw of 14.28 meters. Senior Jake Conklin placed 26th with a throw of 11.69 meters (38-4.25). Junior Jayden Rodwell placed 29th with a throw of 11.24 meters (36-10.5). Junior Jacob Graham threw 10.59 meters (34-9) for 37th. Freshman Jacob Gibson placed 40th with a throw of 10.40 meters (34-1.50).
Senior Braden Fink placed sixth in the 1000 running a time of 2:55.97. Freshman Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama finished eighth with a time of 3:07.70.
Reiser placed seventh in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.54. Kaydan Batty placed 13th with a time of 54.37. Jerian Batty placed 19th (55.12) with Johnson finishing 20th (55.49). Silver ran 56.12 to finish 26th.
Raumann finished ninth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:25.63.
Graham placed 19th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.67 meters (41-7). Sophomore AJ Iglesias placed 31st with a throw of 10.72 meters (35-2). Conklin threw 10.52 meters (34-6.25) for 33rd. Gibson (10.48m/34-4.75) and Freshman Jamey Travers (10.46m/34-4) placed 35th and 36th respectively.
McDaniel will return to action for the Father Diamond Invitational hosted by George Mason on Friday February 16th.
