Box Score HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford scored nine first-quarter goals and never trailed in a 21-9 victory over the McDaniel College women's lacrosse team Saturday at Swan Field.
The Green Terror (4-7, 1-3 CC) had more draw controls and a season-low nine turnovers, but the Fords scored on 21 of 28 shots as they posted their fourth win in five games at home this season.
Haverford jumped out to a 3-0 lead, scoring all three goals in a span of just 57 seconds and two on free position shots.

Kat Thayer got McDaniel on the board off an assist from sophomore
Avery Sesney with 8:16 remaining in the first, but the Fords scored six-straight to finish the quarter to take a 9-1 lead after one. The assist was the first in 11 career games for Sesney who made her second-straight start and fourth this season.

Emma Legacy, the Green Terror scored two of the first three goals to start the second quarter and trim their deficit to seven, but that would be as close as they would get as Haverford scored the next four to take a 14-3 lead.
The first-place Fords (8-3, 4-0 CC) led 15-5 at halftime after McDaniel closed the quarter with two of the last three goals, this time from Legacy and junior
Emma Miller.
Legacy finished with three goals for her second hat-trick of the season and the sixth of her career. She had a career-high five goals versus Albright on March 15. Miller and Shephard scored twice while junior
Gaby Kohr netted her fourth of the season and first in the last five games.
The Green Terror won the draw control battle, 17-16, with Legacy and Miller winning five each. Sophomore
Kayonna Cook had two ground balls and one caused turnover while freshman
Emily Ireland has one ground ball and one caused turnover in her second appearance this season.

McDaniel has six days before returning to action at Swarthmore next Saturday, April 15. Opening draw is at noon.
