Box Score 2 WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Green Terror men's tennis team faced Marymount and Mt. Aloysius on Sunday. They fell in straight sets to a talented Marymount team, but were able to pick up their third win of the year against Mt. Aloysius.
Quinn Dietsche carried the Green Terror in the second match of the day. He partnered up with
Parth Shah in the doubles No. 2 match. They won 8-5 over the Mounties. In his singles match, he kept up the success with an 8-4 win over Tanner Beck.
Evan Darr and
Chris Spann also won their doubles match 8-5.
Spann won his singles match 6-1, 6-0 and
Darr took it to a tie break, but won his singles match as well. Despite losing his doubles match with
Drew Ryder,
Jake Kegley rallied and beat Cole Kazmercyk 6-3, 7-5 in singles No. 1.
Justin Edwards also won his singles match to give McDaniel the win over the Mounties.Â
McDaniel battled Marymount but lost in all nine matches to the Saints. The doubles team of
Chris Spann and
Evan Darr was able to take two games in their match, but could not overcome the Saints.
Parth Shah and
Quinn Deitsche also took games in two tightly contested singles matches, but also fell to the saints.Â
McDaniel returns to action on Tuesday at home against Hood. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
