Proctor Posts Win as Men Open Indoor Season at Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va. - Senior Tyren Proctor posted a win in the 60-meter hurdles as the McDaniel College men's track & field team open its indoor season at the Holiday Kickoff Open hosted by Shenandoah University Sunday.

The Green Terror placed third out of seven teams with 102 points, just eight behind Shenandoah and two behind Centennial Conference rival Dickinson.

Proctor finished first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.48 seconds while senior Kyle Hubbard came in second at 9.35 seconds. Freshman Roman Arensmeyer placed sixth with a time of 10.35 seconds.

Proctor also posted a personal-best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.21 seconds. Sophomore Oral-Anthony Coleman placed second in 7.09 seconds.

Freshman Keiron Wilson placed second in the high jump at 1.73 meters, moving him into ninth-place in program history. Junior Alex Brown placed fourth with a leap of 1.70 meters.

Coleman had a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.94 seconds while Proctor placed 13th and Hubbard finished 15th.

In the 4x800-meter relay, junior Anders Madsen, sophomore Jack Reiser, senior Tyler Richardson, and senior Nick Raumann finished first with a time of 8:29.21. In the 4x400-meter relay, Madsen, Reiser, Richardson and freshman Kaydan Batty placed third in 3:38.29.

Senior John Geniti came in second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.50 meters while senior Alex Huffer placed fourth.

Senior Chett Brunner placed third in shot put with a throw of 14.53 meters and senior Jake Conklin came in 12th with a mark of 11.52 meters.

Graham placed fifth in weight throw with a toss of 12.62 meters while Raumann placed sixth in the 3,000 meters at 9:16.81 and Richardson placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:08.14.

In the long jump, Brown placed seventh with a jump of 5.91 meters.

Reiser placed seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 54.97 seconds while freshman Kaydan Batty came in ninth with a time of 55.14 seconds.

McDaniel does not compete again until the new year when the team returns to Shenandoah for the Kaye & JJ Smith Invitational on Jan. 14.
