THE REST OF THE STORY
• Five singles and three walks set the table for a nine-run first inning for Dickinson. Tom Gannaway capped the big opening frame with a three-run home run.
• Shane Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) led off the bottom of the inning before scoring on a Joey Hubinger (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) double. A Jake Smith (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) added a sacrifice fly to score Hubinger and make it a 9-2 game.
• Three straight two-out singles from Hubinger, Austin Goudeaux (Elkton, Md./Bohemia Manor), and Smith made it 9-3 in the third.
• Back-to-back doubles from Lukas Atsalis and Gannaway keyed a five-run fourth inning that pushed the lead to 14-3.
• Connor Uhrig (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) and T.J. McGuire started the bottom of the frame with back-to-back doubles before a Tyler Yohn (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) sacrifice fly made it 14-5.
• Singles from Atsalis and Luke Jackson in the sixth added a single run before Kaden Sigmon led off the seventh with a home run, sparking another three-run inning that stretched the advantage to 18-5.
• Dickinson tacked on single runs in the eighth and ninth before McDaniel scored five in the bottom of the ninth. Jarod Pezzano (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) singled before Santino DeFilippo (Shelton, Conn./Shelton drew a walk. Three straight two-out singles from Jack Bayne (Lutherville, Md./Towson), Uhrig, and McGuire made it 20-8. A wild pitch on a Hunter Kelly (Marlton, N.J./King's Christian School) walk and Daly single set the final margin.
