• Joey Hubinger (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) led the Green Terror with three hits.
• Connor Uhrig (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) had two hits, including a home run.
FOR THE FOES
• Danny Sheeler had two hits and five RBIs to lead the Shoremen.
• Erik Risnychock went 3-for-4 on the day.
• Joe Morrissey struck out 10 batters in 6 2/3 innings of work on the mound to earn the win.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Danny Sheeler poked a two-out home run in the bottom of the first inning for a 1-0 lead.
• Noah Iseman and Erik Risnychok each singled to start the second before a walk with one out and two more with two outs made it a 3-0 game with the bases still loaded. Sheeler followed with a bases-clearing double to make it 6-0.
• Connor Uhrig and Iseman traded lead off home runs in the third.
• Risnychok walked to lead off the fifth before a Jack Kingman single put runners at the corners. A two-out Mike Bukowski single scored Risnychok before a two-out Cael Magill double stretched the lead to 10-1.
• Joey Hubinger led off the sixth with a double and scored on a Jack Bayne (Lutherville, Md./Towson) tow-out single.
• Washington got the run back in the bottom of the inning with a Risnychok single, two stolen bases, and a wild pitch. The Shoremen tacked on an unearned run in the seventh and scored one on a Bukowski sacrifice fly in the eighth.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Shane Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) and Connor Uhrig had two hits each.
