THE SKINNY
After watching McDaniel rally from an 8-1 deficit to take the lead in the top of the 10th, Salem State scored twice in the bottom of the frame for a 10-9 victory.

THE LEADERS
• Jake Smith (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) led the Green Terror with three hits on the day.

FOR THE FOES
• Tim Catalano had three hits to pace the Vikings.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Keyed by a pair of errors and a Zachary Piroh two-run home run, Salem jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
• Traverse Briana made it 7-0 with a two-run long ball in the second.
• A Connor Uhrig (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) ground out plated Billy Wheatly (Galloway, N.J./ASbsegami) in the top of the fourth before Salem got the run back on a Derek Angell sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning.
• The Green Terror plated one run in the fifth before back-to-back leadoff home runs from Uhrig and T.J. McGuire (Blue Pont, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) in the seventh made it an 8-4 game.
• McDaniel drew to within one in the eighth before Austin Goudeaux (Elkton, Md./Bohemia Manor) drew a two-out walk in the ninth and scored on a Jake Smith double to tie the game.
• Evan Scala (Whiting, N.J./Manchester Twp.) reached on a one-out error in the top of the 10th before a Tyler Perry (Woodbridge, Va./Gar-Field) double for the 9-8 lead.
• In the bottom of the inning, Catalano led off with a single before Matthew Casare walked and both runners moved up a base on a sacrifice. After Jake Boucher was hit by a pitch, Angell reached on an error to score Catalano. Briana followed with a sacrifice fly, plating Casare with the game-winning run.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Austin Goudeaux, T.J. McGuire, Jarod Pezzano, and Tyler Perry all had two hits.
