THE REST OF THE STORY
• In game one, four free passes and a Connor Uhrig RBI single keyed a three-run bottom of the first. Before Anthony Broadhurst keyed a four-run top of the second with a two-run single.
• After Albertus Magnus stretched the lead to 6-3 on RBI knocks from Ron Losacano and Broadhurst, McDaniel drew three straight walks to start the home third. After a one-out hit by pitch made it 6-4, Shane Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) poked a two-out single to tie the game.
• The Falcons took the lead back in the fourth on a Sean Jefferson sacrifice fly but a Jake Smith (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) run-scoring double and Tyler Yohn (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) two-run triple keyed a six-run bottom of the frame for a 12-7 lead.
• McDaniel scored two more in the fifth but a Nhasean Murphy triple led off the top of the sixth before a hit batter, Bobby Arent single, and RBI ground out closed the margin to 14-9 in the top of the sixth.
• Billy Wheatley (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) singled home Daly to set the final margin in the bottom of the inning.
• In the nightcap, two walks around a Jack Bayne (Lutherville, Md./Dulaney) double and error staked the Green Terror to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second.
• A Connor Ward (Woolrich, N.J./Kingsway Regional) RBI single and Yohn sacrifice fly pushed the lead to 5-0 in the fourth before a walk, double, and Joe Matthews single got Albertus Magnus on the board.
• McDaniel tacked one more in the fifth before the Falcons strung together five singles, including back-to-back two-out RBI knocks from Matthews and Arent, to close to within 6-5 after five innings.
• With two outs in the sixth, Austin Goudeaux (Elkton, Md./Bohemia Manor) singled to right. After he stole second, Smith followed with an RBI single and Uhrig doubled for an 8-5 lead.
• Sean Jefferson led off the sixth with a home run before Connor Henderson (Bel Air, Md./Harford Tech) retired six of the final eight he faced for the save.
