McDaniel, ranked 16th in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, scored off a free kick in the 44th minute and the defense held strong for its seventh straight shutout and a 1-0 win at Gettysburg.

• Isabela Soares (Monroe Twp., N.J./Monroe Twp.) scored the contest's lone goal for the Green Terror.
• Katherine Carstensen (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) made five saves, including three in the second half, to preserve the shutout.
FOR THE FOES
• Maddie Cunningham led the Bullets with a pair of stops.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Off a free kick just outside the box in the waning minutes of the first half, Isabela Soares buried her first collegiate goal just out of the reach of the keeper.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 10-6 advantage in shots, including 7-1 in the second half. The Bullets also had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
• McDaniel has shut out its first seven opponents on the year. Dating back to last season, McDaniel has shut out 11 straight opponents and has not allowed a goal in 1042 minutes, 21 seconds.
