Gettysburg took a pair of singles matches luv-luv to key a 9-0 win over McDaniel.
THE LEADERS
• Luke Szukalski (Frederick, Md./St. Maria Goretti) led the Green Terror at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. In doubles, he and Del Carden (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) dropped an 8-2 decision to Alex Kagan and Michael Zayneh. Kagan then topped Szukalski 6-4, 6-1 in singles.
FOR THE FOES
• Michael Zayneh capped his 2-0 day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles.
• Patrick Bodovitz also won 6-0, 6-0 in singles, taking the No. 4 singles.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg earned forfeit wins at third doubles and fifth and sixth singles.
