THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall won seven of the first eight events to remain perfect on the season and defeat McDaniel, 55-27.
THE LEADERS
• Jose Pac (Quetzaltenango, Guatemala/International American School) led the Green Terror with a second-place finish in the 100 free but established a new program record by 0.14 seconds with his time of 46.83 seconds. He was also second in the 200 free (1:45.57).
• Thomas Fagiolo (Takoma Park, Md./Sandy Springs Friends School) recorded the lone win in the first eight events, touching first in the 200 backstroke (2:02.38).
• Zach Kiick (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) posted a first-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.79).
FOR THE FOES
• Chris Schiavone led the Diplomats with a victory in the 100 free (46.02 seconds).
• William Stoll won the 200 butterfly (2:01.99) and 500 free (4:51.66).
• Tom Graminski won the 200 free (1:45.03).
• Brendan Cline touched first in the 50 free (21.07 seconds).
• Jack Sinton was victorious in the 400 IM (4:13.02).
• Schiavone, Cameron Mehta, Sinton and Matthew Hopkins opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay (3:42.26).
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Grayson Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) placed third in the 50 free (22.47 seconds) and 200 fly (2:10.66).
• Zachary Askounes (Frederick, Md./Swarthmore) was third in the 400 IM (4:45.78) and 500 free (5:12.75).
• Mitchell Clokey (Arnold, Md./Severna Park), Blanchard, Kiick and Pac recorded a win in the 200 free relay (1:29.77).
THE INSIDE STORY
• In addition to Jose Pac's program record in the 100, the Diplomats' Chris Schiavone retook his Harlow Pool record in the event with a time of 46.02 seconds. Pac also turned in the program's No. 4 time in the 200 free (1:45.57).
• Cline, Schiavone, Sang and Hopkins established a new pool record in the 200 free relay (1:24.17) as an exhibition foursome.
• Thomas Fagiolo's time in the 200 backstroke ranks seventh in program history. He also posted a personal-best time in the 50 free (24.04 seconds).
• Zachary Askounes posted personal-best marks in both the 400 IM and 500 free.
