McDaniel won eight of the 10 scored events to take down Stevenson, 54-22.
THE LEADERS
• Jose Pac (Quetzaltenango, Guatemala/International American School) captured a pair of individual wins, touching first in the 200 IM (1:59.38) and 500 free (5:14.14). He was also on the 200 medley relay that opened the meet with a victory (1:45.41).
• Mitchell Clokey (Arnold, Md./Severna Park) posted an individual win in the 50 free (23.39). He was also on both winning relays. He contributed a leg on the 200 medley relay (1:45.41) and anchored the 200 free relay (1:36.55).
• Jack Alperstein won the 100 backstroke (1:01.16) and was also part of both winning relays.
• Grayson Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) posted an individual victory in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.14) and anchored the 200 medley relay to a win.
• Zach Kiick (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) rounded out the individual winners with a victory in the 100 butterfly (1:01.95).
• Thomas Fagiolo (Takoma Park, Md./Sandy Springs Friends School) and Zachary Askounes (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) joined Alperstein and Clokey on the winning 200 free relay.
FOR THE FOES
• Stephen Kratzer led the Mustangs with victories in the 200 free (1:51.30) and 100 free (51.24 seconds).
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Zach Kiick added a second-place finish in the 200 free (1:53.84).
• Thomas Fagiolo was second in the 500 free (5:19.23).
• Zachary Askounes was second in the 100 free (52.58 seconds) and third in the 200 free (1:56.96).
THE INSIDE STORY
• Mitchell Clokey turned in a personal-best time in the 50 free win.
• Jose Pac missed the pool record in the 200 IM by approximately one second.
• The meet was added to the schedule over the weekend for Stevenson to celebrate Senior Day. It means a three-met week for McDaniel, which now swims at Dickinson on Wednesday and home against Franklin & Marshall on Friday.
