THE LEADERS
• DJ Biscoe (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) led the Green Terror with three hits.
• Evan Finch (Laurel, Md./St. John's College) and Jarod Pezzano (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) added two hits and three RBIs each.
FOR THE FOES
• Nate Davis was 4-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Blue Jays. He also had a home run.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Colin Franke (Highland Mills, N.Y./Cornwall Central) was hit by a pitch to lead off the bottom of the first before a one-out DJ Biscoe single up the middle put two on. A Tim Griest (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) single loaded the bases for Ryan Downes (Hagerstown, Md./St. Maria Goretti), who singled up the middle to stake McDaniel to a 2-0 lead. Evan Finch added a two-run triple to the gap for a four-run first inning.
• Nate Davis led off the second with a home run to make it a 4-1 game.
• An Adam Kohl triple and Tim Kutcher sacrifice fly trimmed the deficit to 4-2 in the top of the third.
• Griest singled to lead off the bottom of the frame before Downes doubled down the line. A Finch RBI ground out and T.J. McGuire (Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) RBI single stretched the lead to 6-2.
• Davis singled to lead off the fourth before moving to second on an AJ King and third on a wild pitch. A Matt Ritchie RBI groundout made it a 6-3 game.
• An error opened the door for a three-run top of the fifth to tie the game.
• A Finch one-out single and Jarod Pezzano two-out triple down the line put the Green Terror back in fron in the bottom of the fifth.
• The Blue Jays, however, responded once again with a walk, sacrifice and error to retie the game at 7-all.
• Ritchie drew a walk to lead off the eighth before back-to-back one-out singles loaded the bases. After a Mike Eberle sacrifice fly gave Johns Hopkins the lead, Chris Festa roped a two-out, two-run single to the gap. A single, two doubles and another single helped the Blue Jays score seven runs to open up a 14-7 lead.
• The Blue Jays tacked on two more in the top of the ninth before a pair of walks, an error and two-run Pezzano double set the final margin in the bottom of the ninth.
THE INSIDE STORY
• DJ Biscoe extended his current hitting streak to 10 games. It was his fourth multiple-hit game during the stretch.
