THE SKINNY STORY

THE LEADERS
• Naquan Holden (Brooklyn, N.Y./Perkiomen School) led the Green Terror with a 3-for-3 day. He had a pair of triples among his three plate appearances.
• Jared Pezzano (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) added two hits, including a double, and a stolen base.
FOR THE FOES
• Ryan Gilbert led the Bison with two hits.
• Darren Drolsbaugh stole four bases in addition to his hit, walk and hit by pitch.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Darren Drolsbaugh led off the bottom of the first with an infield single before Ryan Gilbert followed with a single of his to put runners at first and second. A Drolsbaugh steal of third put runners on the corners before Cameron Upton singled to right for a 1-0 lead.
• Tim Griest (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) singled with one out in the top of the second before stealing second and scoring on a Naquan Holden triple to straightaway centerfield.
• Three straight one-out walks in the bottom of the third loaded the bases before a sacrifice fly gave the hosts a 2-1 lead. After a double steal put both runners in scoring position, Gilwon Seo reached on an infield single to score Upton and an errant throw allowed a second run to score for a 4-1 lead.
• Tom Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) and Griest drew back-to-back walks to lead off the third. A fly ball to right put runners at the corners before another double steal plated Daly. After an infield single and bunt single loaded the bases, a Colin Franke (Highland Mills, N.Y./Cornwall Central) sacrifice fly cut the deficit to 4-3.
• A Billy Sowers single, two stolen bases and a Gilbert sacrifice fly pushed the lead back to two.
• Holden roped a one-out triple down the line in the top of the sixth before scoring on a Julian Jenkins (Tempe, Ariz./Desert Vista) single through the left side. He stole second before taking third on a fly out and scoring on a Jared Pezzano double, tying the game at 5-all.
• In the top of the eighth, Holden walked before giving way to pinch-runner Wyatt Church (Ocean City, Md./Stephen Decatur), who took third on a Franke single. A Pezzano walk loaded the bases for DJ Biscoe (Millersville, Md./Old Mill), who singled home two runs for the lead.
• Brad Thaxton (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha), who pitched the final three innings, allowed a pair of infield singles in the bottom of the frame but used two of his four strikeouts and a ground ball to earn the win.
• Griest reached on an error in the ninth before scoring on a one-out Church triple down the line. A Jenkins RBI single pushed the lead to 9-5 before another double steal with runners at the corners allowed Jenkins to score for the five-run margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
