THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel scored twice in the top of the ninth inning to draw even at 3-all with Hood before neither team could push across a run over the next seven innings and the game was called after 16 innings because of darkness.
THE LEADERS
• DJ Biscoe (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) led the Green Terror with two hits and the game-tying sacrifice fly in the ninth inning.
• Naquan Holden (Brooklyn, N.Y./Perkiomen School) added two hits of his own.
FOR THE FOES
• Sam Wheeler led the Blazers with three hits.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• After the first six batters sat down in order, Sam Wheeler led off the bottom of the third with a single to left-center before stealing second. After moving to third on a sacrifice, an infield single by Trent Copenhaver put runners at the corners. Nathan Kessler singled to center to plate Wheeler for a 1-0 lead. A throwing error on a double steal allowed Copenhaver and Kessler to both score for a 3-0 lead.
• The first 11 Green Terror batters were retired before Tim Griest (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) reached on a two-out error in the top of the fourth before a wild pitch on a strikeout put runners at first and second. A second error loaded the bases for Brad Thaxton (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha), who singled to center to score Griest and make it a 3-1 game.
• McDaniel put a baserunner on in three of the next four innings but could not score until the ninth inning. T.J. McGuire (Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) singled to lead off the top of the ninth before a fielder's choice put Jack Slater (Hebron, Conn./Rham) on as well. A walk loaded the bases for Jarod Pezzano (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island), who singled to right to make it a 3-2 game. A DJ Biscoe sacrifice fly plated pinch-runner Darrius Speaks (Randallstown, Md./Patapsco) to tie the game.
• McDaniel threw out a Hood runner at the plate in the 12th inning and the Blazers returned the favor in the 14th to keep the game tied before darkness eventually won out.

• Ryan D'Allesandro tossed the first five innings with five strikeouts for Hood. Des Grimes added five innings of work with three strikeouts and allowed just two hits.
