Four McDaniel players competed at the ITA Regional tournament.
THE LEADERS
• Tate Myers (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Springs) and Jimmy Wawrzynski (Westminster, Md./Westminster) competed in Flight A at doubles. The duo dropped an 8-5 decision to Simon Levinson and Patrick Shields of Averett. In the consolation bracket, Myers and Wawrzynski fell 8-0 to Paul Gladstone and Michael Porters (Virginia Wesleyan).
• In Flight B of doubles, Quinn Burker (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Luke Shuck (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) dropped an 8-1 decision to Richie Abruscato and Drew Ryan of Stevenson in the opening round. Burker and Shuck won their first match of the consolation bracket 8-4 over Soney Gandhi and Nathan Horner (Bridgewater).
• In Flight B of singles play, Shuck fell 6-1, 6-2 to Tyler Brice (Hampden-Sydney) in the opening round.
• In Flight C, Burker dropped a 6-4, 7-5 decision to Anthony Wilson (Virginia Wesleyan) to open the tournament and fell 6-0, 6-0 to Raymond McDermott (Stevenson) in the consolation bracket.
