WESTMINSTER, Md. – Muhlenberg took a 2-1 lead after doubles en route to a 7-2 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Saturday.
Luke Shuck (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) led the Green Terror (4-13, 0-9 CC) with a pair of victories. He and Will Giles (LaVale, Md./Bishop Walsh) won No. 1 doubles 8-4 before Shuck won in three sets at second singles. Jason Grant took the first set 6-4 but Shuck rallied to take the three-set match with 6-3 and 6-0 wins.
Andrew Natko led the Mules (4-13, 2-7 CC) with two wins. He and Myles Gross won third doubles 8-6 in tiebreaker to capture the match, 9-8. He then took No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-1.
Giles and Mickey Schindler played a three-set match at No. 1 singles. Giles took the opening set 6-3 before Schindler won 6-1, 6-1 to take the match.
