WESTMINSTER, Md. – Washington (Md.) won all six singles in straight sets for a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Saturday.
Will Giles (LaVale, Md./Bishop Walsh) led the Green Terror (3-7, 0-3 CC) at first singles and first doubles. He and Luke Shuck (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) dropped a 9-7 decision at No. 1 doubles before Chris Salisbury topped Giles at first singles, 6-1, 6-3.
Koby Bonta won twice to lead the Shoremen (4-4, 2-0 CC), teaming with Andrew Smith for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles before taking third singles, 6-1, 6-1.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
