HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford took a 3-0 lead after doubles en route to a 7-2 win over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis opener for both teams on Saturday.

Jimmy Wawrzynski (Westminster, Md./Westminster) led the Green Terror (3-5, 0-1 CC) with an 8-2 win at fourth singles.

Nick Sweeney led the Fords (4-2, 1-0 CC) with a 2-0 day. He won 8-2 at second singles after teaming with Raja Arul for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.

Arul rounded out a 2-0 day with an 8-6 win at No. 1 singles.

Quinn Burker (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) added an 8-4 win for McDaniel at No. 3 singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Tuesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
