THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg touched first in six of the first eight events to help notch a 52-32 win over McDaniel.

THE LEADERS
• Paul Van Nevel (Boyds, Md./Poolesville) won the 100 backstroke (55.27).
• Jose Pac (Quetzaltenango, Guatemala/International American School) touched first in the 50 free (22.18 seconds).
• Samuel Simacek (Flower Mound, Texas/Marcus) was victorious in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.71).
• Zach Kiick (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area), Grayson Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley), Nikolas Schobitz (Clarksburg, Md./Damascus) and Simacek combined to place first in the 200 free relay (1:38.37).

FOR THE FOES
• Oliver Pickering won the 200 free (1:48.98) and 500 free (4:56.09).
• Oliver Yancey was the winner of the 400 IM (4:25.87).
• Aedan Collins touched first in the 100 fly (53.47).
• Sam Nonemaker was victorious in the 100 free (48.55).
• Collins, Yancey, John Freeman and Nonemaker combined to win the 200 medley relay (1:39.90).

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Paul Van Nevel added a second-place finish in the 400 IM (4:28.56).
• Zach Kiick placed third in the 200 free (1:55.12) and 100 free (52.30).
• Grayson Blanchard was third in the 100 fly (54.41).
• Jose Pac was also third in the 500 free (5:07.62).
• Mitchell Clokey (Arnold, Md./Severna Park) placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.23).

THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg swam the last two events as exhibition.
