BIG SPRING, Pa. – Blair Boyle (Springfield, N.J./Villa Walsh Academy) won a pair of events to lead McDaniel against Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) women's swimming action on Saturday.

Scoring:

• The Red Devils (4-3, 2-1 CC) defeated the Green Terror (3-4, 0-4 CC) by a score of 119-79.

Head of the Class: The following athletes won multiple events at the meet:

• Blair Boyle won the 200 freestyle (2:01.39) and 100 freestyle (56.74 seconds.)

Striking Gold: The following athletes won a single event at the meet:

• Sara Hegna (Brielle, N.J./Manasquan) won the 100 backstroke (1:01.78).
• Cara Dube (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran), Maddie Gamble (Colora, Md./Rising Sun), Megan Gorsuch and Becca Sykes (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) won the 200 free relay (1:50.74).

Precious Metal: The following athletes finished second or third in an event at the meet:

• Sara Hegna finished second in the 50 free (25.97 seconds).
• Megan Gorsuch finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:06.82).
• Bryn Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.02).
• Becca Sykes finished third in the 1000 free (12:27.05) and 100 butterfly (1:09.34).
• Cara Dube finished third in the 200 IM (2:26.83) and 100 backstroke (1:05.88).
• Carly Deickman (Bishopville, Md./Stephen Decatur) finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.52).
• The 200 medley relay of Sara Hegna, Carly Deickman, Megan Gorsuch and Joanna Wattenberg finished second (1:57.74).

For the Foes: The following Dickinson athletes won events at the meet:

• Olivia Lyman won the 1000 free (11:07.99) and 500 free (5:26.48).
• Molly Sternick won the 50 free (25.69 seconds) and 100 butterfly (59.62).
• Demetria Ruhl won the 200 IM (2:19.44).
• Hannah Griffith won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.71).
• Griffith and Sternick joined Katie Schmidt and Sammy Holden to win the 200 medley relay (1:54.68).

Next Up: The Green Terror returns to action at home against Franklin & Marshall on Friday. Meet time is 6 p.m.
