GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The McDaniel College women's swimming team opened its 2025-26 season with a quad meet against Centennial Conference rivals Gettysburg, Johns Hopkins, Washington College and Bryn Mawr on Saturday.

The relay team of first year Marisa Otero, junior Kaylie Wolf, first year Alyssa Hain and first year Yente Bouwmeesterfinished with a final time of 2:06.14 in the 200-yard medley relay to open the day's events. The team of sophomore Mackenzie Leeson, first year Lola Parker Kearney, sophomore Georgia Cole and first year Jazlyn Sivak finished with a time of 2:22.91 in the same event.

Senior Mackenzie Skelton clocked in at 13:17.04 in the 1000 yard freestyle while Otero finished with a time of 1:08.07 in the 100-yard backstroke. Sophomore Georgia Cole ended the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:27.23, while first year Ryan Nurse finished at 1:54.99 in the same event.

Wolf clocked in at 27.52 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and Bouwmeester clocked a time of 1:02.02 in the 100-yard freestyle. Otero had a time of 2:29.03 in the 200-yard backstroke in event 18.

Wolf, Otero, Bouwmeester and sophomore Eleanor Virgilio finished with a time of 1:52.93 in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with Leeson, Sivak, Nurse and first year Atlas Schiavo-Campo not far behind at 2:29.29.

The women's swimming team returns to action on Nov. 1 on the road against Penn State Altoona. The meet will begin at 1 pm.
