WESTMINSTER, Md. – Haverford won three singles matches 6-0, 6-0 to help capture a 9-0 victory over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis opener for both teams on Saturday.
Corey Glocker (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) led the Green Terror (2-6, 0-1), teaming with Andrew Kendrick (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) for the closest doubles match. Eli Phelps and Nick Sweeney took No. 1 doubles, 8-3.
Sweeney also topped Glocker 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Rob Kresch, Arnav Patodia and Eliot Faust led the Fords (3-6, 1-0 CC) with 6-0, 6-0 victories at fourth, fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Franklin & Marshall on Tuesday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
