Michael Gallagher (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) led the Green Terror (4-8) with a hit, walk and the squad's lone RBI.
Nick Kuczarski led the Cardinals (13-2) with three hits and two RBIs.
Bailey Lewis roped a one-out double to the center-field fence in the first before moving to second on a passed ball and scoring on a Jake Crist groundout for a 1-0 lead.
Brennan Cotter struck out to lead off the fourth but reached first safely on a wild pitch before another wild pitch moved him to second.
A Cid Sullivan single into shallow left plated Cotter before a wild pitch put him at second.
Kuczarski followed with a ringing single up the middle to stretch the lead to 3-0.
Tim Griest (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) reached on a one-out error in the bottom of the fifth before Anotonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) and Gallagher put together back-to-back singles with two outs to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Catholic got the run back in the top of the sixth. Sullivan reached on an infield single before stealing second and scoring on another Kuczarski single up the middle.
Griest notched his first collegiate hit in the seventh with a double to right before also drawing a walk in the ninth.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Penn State-Mont Alto on Wednesdray. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
