ORLANDO, Fla. – McDaniel took two of three doubles matches to key a 7-2 win over Illinois Wesleyan in non-conference men's tennis action on Friday.
Matthew Diers (Fort Salongo, N.Y./IMG Academy) led the Green Terror (2-5) with a pair of wins, including teaming with Carter Trousdale (Hanover Park, Ill./Hoffman Estate) for an 8-6 win at second doubles. Myers then finished off his day with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles.
Trousdale also went 2-0, winning 6-0, 6-4 at fifth singles.
Kurt Meyer and Calen Crim led the Titans (0-6) with an 8-3 win at first doubles.
Tate Myers (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Springs) and Will Giles (LaVale, Md./Bishop Walsh) teamed for an 8-0 win at third doubles.
Myers capped a 2-0 day with a 6-2, 6-0 win at sixth singles while Giles won 6-2, 6-3 at first singles.
Corey Glocker (Silver Spring, Md./Blake) rounded out the winners for McDaniel, taking a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Catholic on Wednesday. Match time is 3 p.m.
