Box Score

ROANOKE, Va. – McDaniel scored five times in the first five minutes en route to a 20-1 victory over Hollins in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Tori Arcilesi (Bel Air, Md./Harford Tech) led the Green Terror (3-2) with her first collegiate three-goal game. She was one of three McDaniel players to record hat tricks on the day.

Valerie Helmbrecht led Hollins (0-4) with the team's lone goal early in the second half.

Two unassisted goals from Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) around an Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldsfield)-from-Abby Phillips (New Freedom, Pa./North Harford [Md.]) goal staked the Green Terror to a 3-0 lead just 1:23 into the game.

Phillips netted her first of two goals less than a minute later before Brownawell finished the second of three Phillips helpers with 25:05 to play in the opening half.

Farrell completed her hat trick just 23 seconds later. Allison Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) made it 7-0 just 13 seconds after that.

Two of Arcilesi's three goals keyed another three-goal run in 5-minute, 46-second span to get the game to 10-0.

Olivia Maenner (Towson, Md./Notre Dame Prep), Annemarie Duerr (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and Paige Meszaros (Hamilton Square, N.J./Steinert) made it a 13-0 game at the break.

Helmbrecht finished a solo run just 3:30 into the second half for the hosts' lone goal.

Arcilesi finished her hat trick with 9:14 to play while Brownawell capped her three-goal day with 5:36 on the clock.

McDaniel finished with a 35-2 advantage in shots and won all 22 draw controls. Allison Farrell had five of those wins to go with three caused turnovers and four ground balls.
