Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldfields) scored five goals for the Green Terror (0-1), including three of her team's first five markers.
Brady Heher led the Mustangs (1-1) with five goals and an assist while Olivia Monteiro added four goals and two assists.
Tied at 5-all, Monteiro finished a pass from Kiely Bunch with 9:13 to play in the first half to give Stevenson the lead for good.
Tori Bruno stretched the lead to 7-5 with 4:45 on the clock before Dan Stevens made it a three-goal game at the break, scoring with 29.3 ticks remaining.
Mackenzie Reese found Bunce and then Bruno just 19 seconds apart to stretch the advantage to 10-5 with just 1:04 gone in the second half.
A pair of Heher solo runs and a Malloy Davila goal in a 1-minute, 45-second span stretched the lead to eight with 24:59 remaining.
After Heher made it a 14-5 game before Brownawell scored twice in a four-minute span to close the margin to 14-7 with 13:25 to play.
Stevenson stretched the lead back to nine before Annemarie Duerr (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) netted her first of the season off an Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) feed with 2:27 remaining.
Directly off the ensuing draw, Geiger hit Abby Phillips (New Freedom, Pa./North Harford [Md.]), who found Megan Kotelchuck (Crofton, Md./Elizabeth Seton) to set the final margin just 14 seconds later.
A pair of goals from Monteiro and a goal and assist from Heher staked the Mustangs to a 3-0 game in the first 5:35.
After Brownawell and Jamie Bittner traded goals, Phillips started a three-goal run. The senior took a pass from Megan Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) off a free-position attempt and finished with 18:23 on the clock.
Knotelchuck and Brownawell scored 1:50 apart to even the game at 4-all with 14:39 showing.
Heher and Brownawell exchanged markers 2:29 apart to make it a tie game once again.
Geiger finished with six draw controls as part of a 17-10 advantage at the circle for McDaniel. Quattrone added five ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Goucher on Wednesday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
