WESTMINSTER, Md. – Cara Dube (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran) won twice to close out the first half of the season for McDaniel with a win over Hood in non-conference women's swimming action on Saturday.
Scoring:
- The Green Terror (2-3) defeated the Blazers (0-9) by a score of 67-34.
Head of the Class: The following athletes won multiple events at the meet:
- Blair Boyle (Springfield, N.J./Villa Walsh Academy) won the 500 free (5:29.31) and 100 free (55.77 seconds).
- Samantha Smith (Bangkok, Thailand/International School of Bangkok) won the 200 IM (2:16.99) and 50 backstroke (28.55 seconds).
- Individually, Cara Dube won the 200 backstroke (2:16.00). She was also part of the winning 400 medley relay (4:31.66).
Striking Gold: The following athletes won a single event at the meet:
Precious Metal: The following athletes finished second or third in an event at the meet:
- Sara Hegna finished second in the 500 free (5:29.50).
- Cara Dube finished second in the 50 butterfly (30.14 seconds).
- Joanna Wattenberg (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) finished second in the 200 backstroke (2:19.21).
- Bryn Blanchard finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.28).
- Emma Perdue finished second in the 200 IM (2:28.60).
- Maddie Gamble finished second in the 100 free (57.93 seconds).
- Carly Deickman finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.24).

- Kate Sanborn won the 100 breaststroke (1:12.73).
