FREDERICK, Md. – Grayson Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) won three times to lead McDaniel against Salisbury in men's swimming action on Sunday.
Scoring:
- The Green Terror (3-4) defeated Salisbury (3-5) by a score of 51-44.
Head of the Class: The following athletes won multiple events at the meet:
- Individually, Grayson Blanchard won twice. He won the 50 free (22.62) and 100 butterfly (53.73). He was also part of the 200 medley relay victory (1:39.40).
- Individually, Justin Allen (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) won twice. He won the 200 IM (2:04.44) and 100 breaststroke (1:00.07). He was also part of the 200 medley relay victory (1:39.40).
- Individually, Paul Van Nevel (Gaithersburg, Md./Poolesville) won the 1000 free (10:41.18). He was also part of the 200 medley relay victory (1:39.40).
Striking Gold: The following athletes won a single event at the meet:
Precious Metal: The following athletes finished second or third in an event at the meet:
- Michael Brant (Wilmington, Del./Cab Calloway School of the Arts) finished second in the 1000 free (11:03.62). He was also third in the 100 butterfly (58.21) and 100 backstroke (1:00.98).
- Brandon Loehmer (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) finished second in the 200 free (1:54.60) and 500 free (5:10.88).
- Andrew Gottfried finished second in the 200 IM (2:06.98). He was also third in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.14).
- Paul Van Nevel finished second in the 100 backstroke (54.28).
- Adam Halmy finished third in the 100 free (51.18).
