WESTMINSTER, Md. – Syd Knadler (Crowley Lake, Calif./Mammoth) won three times to lead McDaniel against Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) women's swimming action on Saturday.
Scoring:
- The Red Devils (6-2, 1-1 CC) defeated the Green Terror (4-4, 0-4 CC) by a score of 64-31.
Head of the Class: The following athletes won multiple events at the meet:
- Syd Knadler was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:53.15). Individually, she won the 50 free (24.78) and 100 free (55.09).
- Kelly Lewis (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:53.15). Individually, she won the 100 breaststroke (1:13.16).
Striking Gold: The following athletes won a single event at the meet:
- Sara Hegna (Brielle, N.J./Manasquan) was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:53.15).
- Samantha Smith (Bangkok, Thailand/International School of Bangkok) was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:53.15).
Precious Metal: The following athletes finished second or third in an event at the meet:
- Sara Hegna finished second in the 200 free (2:02.97). She was also third in the 500 free (5:33.94).
- Becca Sykes (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) finished third in the 1000 free (11:38.70).
- Samantha Smith finished third in the 200 IM (2:20.42) and 100 butterfly (1:04.62).
- Cara Dube (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran) finished third in the 100 backstroke (1:04.47).
- Bryn Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) finished third in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.96).

- Olivia Lyman won the 1000 free (10:57.27), 200 free (2:00.30) and 500 free (5:27.22).
- Jacquelyn Teller won the 200 IM (2:18.94).
- Molly Sternick won the 100 butterfly (59.69).
- Katie Schmidt won the 100 backstroke (1:01.69).
- The 200 free relay of Demetria Ruhl, Katie Schmidt, Tanita Leary and Shannon Bonner won in a time of 1:45.28.
