Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – McDaniel scored twice in the seventh to break a 2-all deadlock and defeat Dickinson 4-3 in Centennial Conference (CC) baseball action on Tuesday.
Cameron Bahr (Southampton, N.J./Seneca) led the Green Terror (24-7, 5-6 CC) with two hits and two RBIs. On the other side of the battery, Marty Windisch (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) went seven inning with three strikeouts to pick up the win. He also reached base in all five plate appearances with two singles, a walk and was hit by a pitch twice.
Alex Jacobson led the Red Devils (17-14, 4-7 CC) with a 3-for-3 day. Phil Werner also had three hits as part of the 12-hit outing by the hosts.
Sean Sivo (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) and Windisch led off the seventh with back-to-back singles before an RBI fielder's choice by Bahr scored Sivo for a 3-2 edge.
A tow-out Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) single plated Bahr to stretch the lead to 4-2.
A Robbie Thompson one-out double and Werner single sliced the deficit to 4-3 in the bottom of the ninth but Zach Kronick (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) recorded his fourth strikeout in two innings of relief to pick up the save.
In the top of the third, Windisch was hit by a one-out pitch before scoring on a Bahr double for a 1-0 lead.
Tyler O'Shea (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) led off the fourth with a single before moving to second on a sacrifice, third on a groundout and scoring on a Windisch single to push the lead to 2-0.
Matt Primavera roped a one-out home run in the bottom of the frame to cut the deficit in half.
Singeld by Brian McCloud and Thompson around a pair of groundouts evened the game at 2-all in the bottom of the fifth.
McDaniel concludes the home-and-home series with Dickinson at home on Thursday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
