WESTMINSTER, Md. - York (Pa.) swept doubles en route to an 8-1 win over McDaniel in non-conference men's tennis action on Sunday.
Andrew Kendrick (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) led the Green Terror (0-9) with a straight-set victory at fourth singles. He won the first set 6-2 before completing the sweep, 6-4.
CJ Weigle led the Spartans (7-7) with a 6-0, 6-1 win at fifth singles to cap a 2-0 day.
Tate Myers (East Berlin, Pa./Bermudian Springs) and Sam Price played the lone three-set match. Myers won the first set at sixth singles 6-3 before Price took the second set 6-4 to force a deciding super-tiebreaker third set, which he won, 10-5.
McDaniel returns to action at Johns Hopkins on Tuesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
