Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – Muhlenberg tallied six of the game's final seven goals to capture a 14-9 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action on Saturday.
Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) led the Green Terror (5-8, 2-4 CC) with three goals.
Jordy Bonvini paced the Mules (9-3, 2-3 CC) with five goals while Amanda Tullo added four.
Trailing 6-4, Kelsey Nagie finished a solo run with 19:30 to play in the second half to draw the visitors back within one.
Two Tullo free-position tallies 32 seconds apart turned the one-goal deficit into a one-goal lead. Bonvini added another 8-meter goal with 16:15 on the clock for an 8-6 edge.
Goals from Samantha Barbeito (Wolfsville, Md./Middletown) and Quinn, who finished from Barbeito, 1:37 apart evened the score with 13:42 remaining.
Bonvini converted on a man-up situation with 13:13 showing to spark the final run. The Mules scored four times in 2 minutes, 46 seconds.
Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldfields) closed the deficit to 12-9 with 7:13 to play but Casey Armstrong and Tullo tallied in the final 1:58 to set the final margin.
After Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) and Bovini traded goals in the game's first five minutes, Allison Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) found Quinn and then hit Geiger for a 3-1 lead with 21:36 showing.
A Brownawell free-position tally stretched the lead to 4-1 before Muhlenberg tallied the final three goals of the first half to draw the teams even at the break.
Quinn and Megan Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) found the back of the net in the first 10:05 of the second half for a 6-4 edge.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Dickinson on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
