Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

LANCASTER, Pa. – McDaniel pitching allowed just four hits as part of a doubleheader sweep of Lancaster Bible in non-conference baseball action on Saturday.

The Green Terror (5-0) won game one 13-1 before taking game two 10-0 in six innings to improve to 5-0 for the first time since 1968.

Zach Kronick (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) keyed the win in the opener, fanning nine in six innings of work and allowing just two hits and one run.

Marty Windisch (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) led the way offensively with four hits and seven RBIs and a home run. Sean Sivo (Ellicott City, Md./Howard), Cameron Bahr (Southampton, N.J./Seneca) and Tyler Gilbert (York, Pa./Glen Burnie [Md.]) also went yard on the day, including Sivo's first career roundtripper.

Brian Niedergall led the Chargers (1-3) with two of the team's four hits.

In the opener, Eric Grantland (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) singled and stole second before Kaleb Reitz (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) reached on an error to put runners at the corners with one out in the second.

After a Tyler O'Shea (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) sacrifice fly scored Grantland, Antonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) was hit by a pitch and Sivo walked to load the bases.

Windisch cleared the bases with a triple for a 4-0 lead.

A Gilbert walk and doubles by Grantland and O'Shea in the third pushed the lead to 6-0.

Sivo led off the fourth with a home run before a Windsich walk and Bahr two-run shot stretched the lead to 9-0.

Sivo and Austin Fry (Sunbury, Pa./Shamokin Area) walked to open the top of the sixth before a second Bahr dinger made it a 12-0 game.

Domenic Fierro (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) singled before Michael Dunn (Lanham, Md./DeMatha) and Chris Morris (Wynnewood, Pa./Harriton) added back-to-back pinch-hit singles for a 13-0 lead.

Brian Nieder cranked a one-out home run in the bottom of the frame for Lancaster Bible's lone run.

Sivo drew the first of his four game-two walks to lead off the game before Windisch went deep for the first time this season to stake McDaniel to a 2-0 lead.

Reitz led off the second with a single before a two-out error allowed Rosanova to reach and Reitz to score.

Another Sivo walk and back-to-back doubles from Windisch and Bahr made it a 6-0 game.

Gilbert followed with a bomb of his own to push the advantage to 8-0.

Rosanova singled home Grantland before scoring on a Windisch single to set the final margin in the fifth.

Andrew Hofmeister (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) allowed a lead off single in the bottom of the first before sitting down 15 in a row, including six by strikeout, to pick up the win on the hill. Freshman Brad Thaxton (Stevensville, Md./DeMatha) allowed a one-out walk and struck out one in one inning of relief in his first collegiate outing before the game was called on account of darkness.

The Green Terror returns to action at Gallaudet on Monday. Game time is 3 p.m.
