Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – McDaniel jumped out to a 9-1 lead just 14 minutes into the game en route to an 18-2 victory over Bryn Mawr in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse opener for both teams on Saturday.
Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) was one of seven players for the Green Terror (4-4, 1-0 CC) to record a pair of goals.
Georgina Dominique led the Owls (2-2, 0-1 CC) with both of the hosts' goals.
Annemarie Duerr (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) staked McDaniel to a 1-0 lead just 28 second into the game.
Sam Barbeito (Wolfsville, Md./Middletown) needed just seven seconds to finish a feed from Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and double the advantage.
Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldfields) made it a 3-0 game with 26:33 to play before Dominique got Bryn Mawr on the board nearly two minutes later.
Back-to-back Geiger tallies 55 seconds apart pushed the lead to 5-1 before Barbeito found the back of the net again 27 seconds after that to make it a 6-1 contest with 23:01 to play.
Goals by eight different Green Terror players extended the advantage to 14-1 just 7:19 into the second half before Dominque scored her second of the game with 20:06 on the clock.
Megan Kotelchuck (Crofton, Md./Elizabeth Seton), Allison Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven), Melanie Yeomans (Brunswick, Md./South Hagerstown) and Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) all tallied their second markers of the game in the final 16:33.
McDaniel finished with a 42-3 advantage in shots. Quinn had four draw controls while Geiger added three.
The Green Terror returns to action at Haverford on Saturday, Apr. 2. Game time is 1 p.m.
