AUBURNDALE, Fla. – McDaniel scored multiple runs in three separate innings to top FDU-Florham 10-3 at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational in baseball action on Monday.

Marty Windisch (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) led the Green Terror (9-1) with a 4-for-4 day at the plate and reached base in all five plate appearances.

Sam Coutoufos led the Devils (1-6) with a pair of hits.

Sean Sivo (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) led off the game with a single before stealing second.

After a Windisch single put runners at the corners, Sivo scored on a groundout to stake McDaniel to a 1-0 lead.

A Sivo one-out double in the third inning sparked a three-run frame. Windisch, Cameron Bahr (Southampton, N.J./Seneca) and Tyler Gilbert (York, Pa./Glen Burnie [Md.]) all followed with singles.

Bahr capped the scoring in the frame, touching home on an attempted inning-ending double play that Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) was able to beat out to make it a 4-0 game.

A Kevin Sinclair double and back-to-back hit batters in advance of a Bryan Pieschel RBI fielder's choice gave FDU-Florham its first run, trimming the deficit to 4-1.

After back-to-back singles from Windisch and Bahr and a sacrifice bunt, Valori cleared the bases with a triple to make it a 6-1 game in the fifth. Valori scored one batter later on a sacrifice fly.

A fielding error, walk and Vinny Bonaccorso double trimmed the deficit to 7-3 in the bottom of the eighth.

Singles from Windsich and Gilbert, however, helped key a three-run ninth to provide insurance.

Ben Van Put (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) went 7 2/3 innings on the hill to pick up the win.

McDaniel returns to action against Fitchburg State on Wednesday. Game time is 10 a.m.
