Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. –McDaniel recorded four four-run innings to record a sweep of St. Mary's (Md.) in non-conference baseball action on Saturday.

The Green Terror (2-0) took the season opener 12-6 before completing the sweep with a 12-3 victory, which was called after five innings due to darkness.

Cameron Bahr (Southampton, N.J./Seneca) led the way offensive with a 5-for-7 day at the plate, adding five RBIs and three runs scored.

Zach Row led the Seahawks (3-5) with a 2-for-3 day in game one.

In the opener, the teams traded runs in the first inning. Sean Sivo (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) reached on an error to lead off the game before stealing second and later scoring on a flyout.

In the bottom of the frame, Zach Rowe doubled with one out before scoring on a two-out Hayden Ferington single to right.

Kaleb Reitz (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) led off with a single before an Eric Grantland (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) and Antonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) sacrifice fly made it a 2-1 game in the second.

Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) singled home Bahr in the third to make it a 3-1 game.

A Hunter Mohler sacrifice fly and Ferington RBI single evened the game in the home half of the inning.

A Marty Windisch (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) RBI doubled coupled with RBI singles by Bahr and Reitz keyed a four-run top of the fourth.

Two innings later it was a Bahr double that ignited a four-run frame. Grantland and Rosanova infield run-producing singles aided in the big inning.

Back-to-back doubles by Colin Thatcher and Holden Marshall made it an 11-4 game before a Rowe sacrifice fly with the bases loaded and Mohler RBI single trimmed the margin to 11-6.

Bahr, who went 3-for-3 in the game, tacked on an RBI single in the seventh to plate Windisch for the final margin.

Zach Kronick (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) struck out eight in five innings to pick up the win.

Sivo walked to lead off game two before stealing second and moving to third on a groundout. He scored on a Bahr single to stake McDaniel to a 1-0 lead.

A pair of errors led to four unearned runs in the second. Tyler Gilbert (York, Pa./Glen Burnie [Md.]) delivered the big hit with an RBI double.

The Green Terror strung together five hits in the third inning, including a Bahr triple to key another four-run frame.

Four straight walks, a Dan McCann single and error cut the deficit to 9-3 in the bottom of the third.

Another two errors and consecutive one-out singles by Rosanova, Sivo and Windisch got those three runs back in the top of the fourth.

Andrew Hofmeister (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh) and DJ Biscoe (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) combined to toss a one-hitter in the nightcap.

McDaniel pounded out 30 hits on the day, including 14 in the five-inning game two.
