WESTMINSTER, Md. – Franklin & Marshall won the 200 free relay to close the meet and defeat McDaniel 49-37 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's swimming action on Saturday.
Justin Allen (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) led the Green Terror (1-7, 0-5 CC) with three victories, including posting the No. 2 all-time time in the 100 butterfly. The junior turned in a time of 53.05 seconds to win the event. Danny Sanders capped a two-win day for the Diplomats (2-3, 1-2 CC), anchoring the 200 free relay to victory. With Franklin & Marshall leading McDaniel by five points entering the final event, the winning relay would claim victory in the meet by virtue of its seven points. Brad Brooks (Newark, Del./Charter School of Wilmington), who was already a double winner, Adam Halmy (Shenandoah, Texas/College Park), Logan Linden (Ocean View, Del./Indian River) and Sam Simacek (Flower Mound, Texas/Marcus) combined to post the Green Terror's best time of the season with a mark of 1:32.34.
