WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel won the first seven events to clinch a 55-21 victory over Elizabethtown in non-conference women's swimming action on Wednesday.

Joanna Wattenberg (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) was one of two double winners for the Green Terror (1-6), including leading off the 200 medley relay. Carly Deickman (Bishopville, Md./Stephen Decatur), Syd Knadler (Crowley Lake, Calif./Mammoth) and Kelly Lewis (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mills) joined Wattenberg to win the event with a time of 1:55.56

Wattenberg also touched first in the 100 free with a time of 57.03 seconds. Knadler was the other double winner, taking the 50 free in a time of 24.60.

Amanda Long had two victories for the Blue Jays (4-6), winning the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:39.50 and anchoring the 200 free relay to a time of 1:54.71.

Deickman swam the fastest time in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:39.42 but was competed as exhibition.

Shannon McClellan (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro), Samantha Smith (Bangkok, Turkey/International School of Bangkok), Cara Dube (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran) and Maddie Gamble (Colora, Md./Rising Sun) rounded out the McDaniel winners.

McClellan won the 200 free with a time of 2:02.65 while Gamble touched first in the 500 free with a time of 5:40.11. Smith took the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.79 while Dube won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:16.51.

Smith, Lewis and Knadler also joined Emily Gross (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) to post the fastest time in the 200 free relay, swimming a time of 1:43.03 as exhibition.

Gross was also second in the 50 free with a time of 26.19 while Smith was second in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:22.00 and Lewis was second in the 100 free (58.97 seconds).

Becca Sykes (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) was second in the 200 free with a time of 2:08.50 while Elisa Santoni (Ellicott City, Md./McDonogh) finished second in the 200 IM with a mark of 2:30.20. Melissa Fry (St. Mary's, Ga./Camden County) was second in the 500 free (6:04.77).

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Franklin & Marshall on Friday. Meet time is 5 p.m.
