CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson won seven events to key a 120-85 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's swimming action on Saturday.
Samantha Smith (Bangkok, Thailand/International School of Bangkok) was among a trio of double winners for the Green Terror (0-6, 0-4 CC), including as part of the 200 medley relay. Smith joined Joanna Wattenberg (Monrovia, Md./Urbana), Kelly Lewis (Montgomery Village, Md./Seneca Valley) and Syd Knadler (Crowley Lake, Calif./Mammoth) to open the meet with a victory in a time of 1:54.79.
Olivia Lyman paced the Red Devils (4-3, 2-1 CC) with three individual victories. She touched first in the 1000 free (10:47.46), 200 free (1:57.33) and 500 free (5:12.67).
Smith was also an individual winner for McDaniel, touching first in the 100 butterfly with a career-best-matching time of 1:01.83.
Knadler also turned in the Green Terror's best time of the season in the 200 IM, winning the event with her best collegiate time. Her mark of 2:18.10 ranks seventh in program history.
Lewis rounded out two-time winners for McDaniel, touching first in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:12.57.
Lewis led a 1-2-3 finish for the Green Terror in the event. Bryn Blanchard (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) was second (1:13.07) while Carly Deickman (Bishopville, Md./Stephen Decatur) was third (1:13.50).
Knadler was also second in the 100 free with the team's best time of the season, posting a mark of 55.30 seconds.
Wattenberg turned in a season-best mark in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.72 to place third.
Maddie Gamble (Colora, Md./Rising Sun) finished third in the 200 free (2:05.77) while Smith was third in the 50 free (26.46 seconds).
Samantha Boswell, Caitlin Klockner and Katie Schmidt rounded out multiple-win days for Dickinson. The trio joined Devon Korhammer to cap the meet with a time of 1:45.44 to win the 200 free relay. Boswell won the 50 free (26.18 seconds) while Klockner won the 100 free (54.76) and Schmidt touched first in the 100 backstroke (1:02.96).
McDaniel returns to action at home against Franklin & Marshall on Friday. Meet time is 6 p.m.
