Box Score HOBOKEN, N.J. – Lebanon Valley jumped out to a 9-3 lead en route to a 15-12 victory over McDaniel in the semifinals of the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic women's lacrosse tournament on Saturday.
Abby Phillips (Pylesville, Md./North Harford) recorded one of two hat tricks for the Green Terror (10-8), who also got three goals and two assists from Danielle Entrot (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial). Entrot ended her collegiate career with program records of 331 points and 230 goals. She is also second all-time with 101 assists.
Sam Boyce led the Flying Dutchmen (12-7) with six goals while Bailey Benz added six assists to help her team into Sunday's championship game against the host Ducks of Stevens.
Benz and Boyce connected 4:15 into the game before Phillips finished from Allison Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) to even the game nearly five minutes later.
Bridget Bopst (Westminster, Md./South Carroll) found Sam Barbeito (Wolfsville, Md./Middletown) 37 seconds later to give McDaniel a 2-1 lead with 20:19 on the clock.
Boyce and Emma Jones then alternated tallies over the next 10 minutes to give Lebanon Valley a 5-2 lead with 9:56 showing.
Entrot momentarily halted the run, finishing the first of three Barbeito helpers before Boyce and Jones again went back-to-back.
Anna Pagels and Boyce then scored three seconds apart to make it a 9-3 game with 4:48 to play in the first half.
Goals from Julia Jacobs (Stevensville, Md./St. Mary's), Phillips and Entrot closed the deficit to 9-6 at the break.
Three straight goals from the Dutchmen in the first 5:18 of the second half reestablished the six-goal advantage before Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) finished a Farrell feed with 22:37 showing to spark a three-goal rally.
Farrell then found Entrot and Entrot hit Barbeito to make it a 12-9 game with 18:53 to play.
After Lebanon Valley pushed its lead back out to five, Phillip completed her hat trick and Farrell found the back of the net with 9:34 to play.
Pagels and Bopst traded tallies in the final 8:20 to set the final score.
Quinn added five draw controls and five ground balls.
