Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel recorded three multiple-run innings to record a 10-0 victory over Arcadia in the semifinals of the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southeast baseball tournament on Saturday.
Marty Windisch (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) led the offense for the Green Terror (19-14) with a 4-for-4 day, adding five RBIs. Zach Kronick (Schenectady, N.Y./Guilderland) went six innings on the hill, striking out nine.
Six different players recorded single hits for the Knights (20-15-1), including Tom Wagner, who also reached base via a walk and on a fielding error.
Sean Sivo (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk before stealing second and scoring on a Windisch single up the middle.
Cameron Bahr (Southampton, N.J./Seneca) followed with a double to the gap to plate Windisch for a 2-0 advantage.
Windish then led off the third inning with a single before Bahr was hit by a pitch and Tyler Gilbert (Severn, Md./Glen Burnie) drew a walk to load the bases.
Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) poked a single through the left side to score to score Windisch and Bahr to make it a 4-0 game.
Kasey Nelson (Denton, Md./St. Michaels) followed with a single to right field to reload the bases.
Brandon Hayward (Salisbury, Md./J.M. Bennett) followed with an infield hit that was misplayed and allowed two runs to score for a 6-0 advantage.
A Nelson single and Hayward double pushed the lead to 7-0 with two outs in the fifth.
Tyler O'Shea (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) drew a walk to leadoff the eighth before Antonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) singled through the left side.
Sivo followed with a single to right field before an errant throw allowed both O'Shea and Rosanova to score, putting Sivo on third base.
Windisch lofted a ball to deep center, scoring Sivo easily and ending the game early with the 10-run rule in effect for ECAC tournament play.
McDaniel will host Widener, which defeated Stockton 9-7 in the day's second semifinal, in Sunday's championship. Game time is 2 p.m.
