WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel will host a 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region women's lacrosse championship tournament first-round game on Wednesday at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium in Westminster, Md.
The third-seeded Green Terror (9-7) will take on sixth-seeded Misericordia (9-9) on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The winner of that game will face the winner of another first-round game between No. 2 seed Lebanon Valley (10-7) and No. 7 SUNY Canton (10-4) on Saturday. The winner of the first-round matchup between No. 4 Arcadia (12-7) and No. 5 Drew (9-6) will face the winner of final first-round game between top-seeded Stevens (12-5) and No. 8 Neumann (10-6) in Saturday's other semifinal.
If Stevens wins its first-round game, the Ducks will host the semifinals on Saturday and championship game on Sunday. A Neumann victory coupled with a Lebanon Valley victory would send the three weekend games to Annville and the Lebanon Valley campus. McDaniel would host if both of the top two seeds loses, the Green Terror would host in Westminster. Game times will be determined once a host is decided.
Senior Danielle Entrot (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) currently leads the Green Terror with 71 points on 45 goals and 26 assists. She is also second on the team with 51 draw controls.
Junior Sam Barbeito (Wolfsville, Md./Middletown) is second on the squad in assists (25) and points (53) and ranks fourth in goals (28).
Senior Julia Jacobs (Stevensville, Md./St. Mary's) and junior Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) are currently second on the team with 32 goals each. Quinn has added 10 assists for 42 points while Jacobs has added five assists for 37 points. Quinn is also the team leader in draw controls with 65 and paces the defense with 20 caused turnovers and 31 ground balls.
