WESTMINSTER, Md. – Dickinson won five of the six singles matches to capture a 6-3 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis action on Tuesday.
Satchel McCarthy (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) led the Green Terror (3-10, 0-7 CC) with two wins on the day. He teamed with Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) to win No. 1 doubles, 8-3. McCarthy then took the first set of second singles 7-6 before winning by retirement in the second set.
Evan Davis and Josh Kaseff each won twice to lead the Red Devils (7-4, 5-2 CC), including teaming for an 8-3 win at third doubles. Davis won sixth singles 6-3, 6-3 while Kaseff was victorious at fifth singles, 6-3, 6-2.
Phillip Jorgensen (Bowie, Md./Cahal Academy) and Daniel Xinis (Owings, Md./Northern) partnered to win at No. 2 doubles 8-6 to round out winners for McDaniel.
The Green Terror returns to action at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
