CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington (Md.) won all six singles matches in straight sets to top McDaniel 9-0 in the Centennial Conference (CC) men's tennis opener on Saturday.
Ryan Salomon (Bethesda, Md./The Siena) led the Green Terror (2-4, 0-1 CC), winning nine total games. He dropped a 7-5, 6-1 decision to Jeremy Novick at fourth singles after teaming with Will Giles (LaVale, Md./Bishop Walsh) to fall 8-3 at third doubles to Novick and Justin Panepinto.
Ryan Holtschneider led the Shoremen (5-0, 1-0 CC), dropping just a single game at third singles to win by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
McDaniel returns to action at Hood on Tuesday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
