HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Asbury won all six singles matches in straight sets to top McDaniel 9-0 in non-conference men's tennis action on Wednesday.

Satchel McCarthy (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) led the Green Terror (2-3), winning 11 games between his two matches at the top flights. He fell to Nathan Schley 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles after teaming with Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) to drop an 8-6 decision to Scott Layton and Schley at No. 1 doubles.

Duece Gibson led the Eagles (3-1) by not dropping a game at sixth singles, winning, 6-0, 6-0.

Nesbert Vaval and Daniel Harris added an 8-0 win at third doubles.

McDaniel returns to action against Edgewood on Thursday. Match time is 12 p.m.
